Surah 100: Al-‘Adiyat
العاديات
Ayah 1
By the racers, panting
وَٱلْعَـٰدِيَـٰتِ ضَبْحًا WalAAadiyati dabha — 🔊
Ayah 2
And the producers of sparks [when] striking1
فَٱلْمُورِيَـٰتِ قَدْحًا Falmooriyati qadha — 🔊
Ayah 3
And the chargers at dawn
فَٱلْمُغِيرَٰتِ صُبْحًا Falmugheerati subha — 🔊
Ayah 4
Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust,
فَأَثَرْنَ بِهِۦ نَقْعًا Faatharna bihi naqAAa — 🔊
Ayah 5
Arriving thereby in the center collectively,
فَوَسَطْنَ بِهِۦ جَمْعًا Fawasatna bihi jamAAa — 🔊
Ayah 6
Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful.
إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ لِرَبِّهِۦ لَكَنُودٌ Inna al-insana lirabbihi lakanood — 🔊
Ayah 7
And indeed, he is to that a witness
وَإِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ لَشَهِيدٌ Wa-innahu AAala thalikalashaheed — 🔊
Ayah 8
And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense.
وَإِنَّهُۥ لِحُبِّ ٱلْخَيْرِ لَشَدِيدٌ Wa-innahu lihubbi alkhayri lashadeed — 🔊
Ayah 9
But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered
۞ أَفَلَا يَعْلَمُ إِذَا بُعْثِرَ مَا فِى ٱلْقُبُورِ Afala yaAAlamu itha buAAthira mafee alquboor — 🔊
Ayah 10
And that within the breasts is obtained
وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِى ٱلصُّدُورِ Wahussila ma fee assudoor — 🔊
Ayah 11
Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Aware
إِنَّ رَبَّهُم بِهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّخَبِيرٌۢ Inna rabbahum bihim yawma-ithinlakhabeer — 🔊
