Overview

One of the most detailed parallel narratives. Both traditions tell of the beloved son sold by jealous brothers, his rise to power in Egypt, and eventual family reunion. Surah 12 (Yūsuf) is the Quran’s most narrative-complete story, called ‘the best of stories.‘
